Get ready to make some swinging music with strangers.

A new art installation along the Battery Park City waterfront lets visitors hop onto a giant swing set that makes music with every push into the air.

The project, called “The Swings: An Exercise in Musical Cooperation” was created by Montreal-based design studio Daily tous les jours, to inspire a focus on participation and a collective experience, according to Arts Brookfield, which is hosting the installation.

The 10 swings each make the sound of different instruments — either piano, harp, guitar or vibraphone. With every back and forth swing, the music pumps out.

The classical tones are most harmonious when swinging along with others, organizers said.

“The Swings bring vibrancy to an empty space by encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to gather and experiment,” Arts Brookfield said in a statement.

“The Swings: An Exercise in Musical Cooperation” sits at Brookfield Place’s waterfront plaza, 230 Vesey St. The installation is open from 12 p.m. to 8 pm. daily through July 7.
