Real estate website Streeteasy has a little something to brag about: The founder of Craigslist used their website to find an apartment, they said.
Craig Newmark, whose eponymous website all but killed the classifieds pages of newspapers everywhere, reportedly found his new Greenwich Village duplex co-op on Streeteasy.
Newmark and wife Eileen paid $5.9 million for their new home in the three-unit townhouse at 52 West 9th St., according to Streeteasy. Their unit spans the first and second floor, holds three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms and includes a library, a real wood-burning fireplace, a wine cellar, and a garden.
