These are no tykes on trikes.

Two NYPD officers from the 110th Precinct in Elmhurst mounted kid-sized tricycles in a local schoolyard Tuesday, getting just the reaction you'd expect from student onlookers.

The officers are part of a new program designed to build stronger relationships between cops and school kids, according to the Daily News.

Launching Tuesday, Team Up! Tuesday is dispatching officers from 72 NYPD precincts to visit more than 350 New York City elementary schools, including P.S. 16 in Corona. The officers will share lessons they've learned about leadership and community while on the job and partake in activities like arts and crafts, reading, and, as seen above, clowning around.
