SOUTH BRONX — Country star Garth Brooks is returning to New York City for the first time in almost 20 years for a concert at Yankee Stadium.
Brooks will perform in the ballpark on July 9 at 8:30 p.m., and tickets for the show will go on sale on May 20 at 10 a.m. His show will be the first country music performance at the new Yankee Stadium.
The last time Brooks performed in New York City was in 1997, when he gave a concert in Central Park.
Fans can purchase tickets through Ticketmaster either online or by calling 1-866-448-7849 or 1-800-745-3000, and there is a limit of eight tickets per purchase.
Tickets cost $79.98.
