HELL’S KITCHEN — A breakfast nook by day and seafood spot by night is setting up shop in Hell’s Kitchen this summer.

Alana Bar Cafe, opening at 462 W. 52nd St. between Ninth and 10th avenues, will serve breakfast food and coffee in the morning before transforming into a tavern that serves seafood, beer and wine at night when it opens in July, owner Alana Taylor said.

“I’ve lived here on this corner for a few years, and there hasn’t really been a great spot for coffee or breakfast in the morning,” Taylor said.

After graduating from NYU, the Hell’s Kitchen resident of a decade worked in financial services before following in her father’s footsteps by getting into the restaurant business.

He owns Italian wine bar and restaurant Crispin’s on 10th Avenue, just around the corner from the Alana Bar Cafe space.

“It’s a first-time restaurant for me, so it’s kind of a learning experience,” Taylor explained. “[But] anybody who’s familiar with Crispin’s and likes it will probably like this place, too.”

During tavern hours, the bar will serve seafood dishes like shrimp cocktail and raw oysters, she noted.

However, full menu and prices are still in the works.

The eatery is currently in the process of securing a license to serve beer and wine, she added.

Taylor plans to open Alana Bar Cafe at 7 a.m. every morning and close at around 2 a.m.

“We wanted to make this feel kind of like a family-run hole-in-the-wall," she said, "where people remember your name."
