CENTRAL PARK — New York City's green oasis is a natural sanctuary not just for urban dwellers — it's also a paradise for birds.

New York City Audubon calls Central Park "one of the best birding spots in the United States."

"From a bird’s point of view, our city is abundant in the green and blue spaces that they love so much," said NYC Parks Commissioner Mitchell J. Silver.

Note: You can borrow a pair of binoculars for free at a Central Park visitor center. For more information, call 212.772.0288.
