PARK SLOPE — Two burglars swiped at least $2,900 in cash from a popular South Slope pizza restaurant in March, police said.

The thieves broke the front door of Giuseppina's on Sixth Avenue and 20th Street on March 23 at 2:30 a.m. and stole approximately $2,800 from an ATM and an additional $105 from the cash register, police said.

The NYPD released a grainy photo Tuesday of the two suspects and asked for the public's help in identifying the burglars.

The owner of the frequently crowded pizza and calzone joint is the brother of the owner of Lucali, the Carroll Gardens' pizzeria that has served the likes of Beyonce and Jay-Z. Giuseppina's makes similar pizza and has also earned a reputation for tasty pies in a low-key atmosphere.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). For Spanish, call 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit tips at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
