WILLIAMSBURG — Police are looking for a man who they say went on a $200 grocery shopping spree with a wallet he found on the floor of a supermarket.

The man, who was captured in surveillance camera footage, was browsing the aisles of Food Bazaar Supermarket at 21 Manhattan Ave. on March 8 at 10:15 a.m. when he picked up a lost wallet belonging to a 36-year-old shopper, police said.

The man, who appears to be in his 50s or 60s with a gray goatee, bought about $200 worth of groceries using the lost wallet, then drove off in a green Honda Pilot with New Jersey plates, according to surveillance camera footage and police.

He was last seen wearing a white, long-sleeved shirt and a red baseball hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
