Man Charged With Pushing 15-Year-Old in Front of 7 Train in Corona: NYPD

By Katie Honan | March 11, 2016 8:27am

CORONA — A 38-year-old man was arrested and charged with pushing a 15-year-old girl into the path of an oncoming 7 train that narrowly missed hitting her as she crawled to the side of the tracks, police said.

George Pautt, who lives at 103-34 42nd Ave., was arrested early Friday, police said.

He was charged with attempted murder in the second degree.

Police said Pautt pushed the teen from behind on the Manhattan-bound platform of the 103rd Street-Corona Plaza station at about 8:40 p.m. on March 5.

She fell onto the tracks, but was able to wedge herself between the platform and the 7 train wheels as it rolled into the station, police said.

She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and treated for minor injuries, police said.

Pautt has six prior arrests, the most recent for an April 2010 burglary, according to the NYPD.
