TRIBECA — An 8-foot-tall "acrobat" will soon call a TriBeCa park home.

Artist Dave Stevenson's large, twisting bronze sculpture, named "Acrobat," is being placed in Finn Square, a triangular greenspace where Franklin Street intersects with Varick Street and West Broadway.

Stevenson, a New York City artist, said his work is a "dynamic, free form," piece that meshes with the high foot traffic the little park gets each day.

The piece will be placed in the park in June, and will remain there for about a year, Stevenson said.

The artist, who also makes jewelry, is currently raising money for the project — which needs to be privately funded — through his site, Sculpturezoo.com.
