TIMES SQUARE — A Times Square sushi outpost is serving its last meal tonight, a manager confirmed.

Sushi Zen at 108 W. 44th St., will close on Monday night, Grub Street first reported.

A manager working at the restaurant Monday afternoon declined to provide details about the closure, but Eater spoke with a manager who said the restaurant’s lease was expiring and it has chosen not to renew.

The restaurant opened in 1984 and moved from West 46th Street to its current site in 2001, Eater said.

In March 2015, Eater reported the restaurant was planning to move to a new, larger space a few blocks away from its West 44th Street location by the end of the year, but the move didn’t come to fruition.

Sushi Zen was known for serving a “deadly” pufferfish dish called “fugu.”

The restaurant’s owner did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday.
