MARINERS HARBOR — The man suspected of raping a woman inside a Staten Island apartment building repeatedly told her "I will kill you" during the attack, officials said.

Maurice Scott, 28, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with rape, criminal sexual act and robbery at his arraignment on Wednesday afternoon.

A psychological exam was ordered, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

On Sunday, Scott knocked on the door of a Forest Avenue office building and said he was there for work, NYPD Chief of Detective Robert Boyce said.

After he was let in, Scott pushed a 44-year-old woman, whom he did not know, to the ground, grabbed her arms then raped her, prosecutors said.

During the attack, Scott told the woman "I have a gun. I will kill you b--tch," according to court documents.

He also took her jewelry, Samsung cell phone and cash before fleeing, prosecutors said.

Scott was caught on surveillance camera and a Special Victims officer identified him, Boyce said.

He was arrested and identified in a lineup on Tuesday, Boyce said.

Scott was being held without bail in Rikers Island and he's due back in court on March 23.

He's been arrested nine times previously, including once for robbery, Boyce said.

Contact information for Scott's lawyer was not immediately available.
