MIDTOWN — Subway service returned to multiple trains lines Monday after a rail condition near the 7th Avenue station at 53rd Street, but a separate rail issue near the 42 Street-Bryant Park station caused delays on the B and D lines for the evening commute, the MTA said.
A broken rail north of the 7th Avenue station at 53rd Street caused major delays on the A, B, C, D, E, F and M lines around 1 p.m., according to MTA spokesman, Kevin Ortiz. Crews worked to fix the rail, and bring full service back to those lines.
As of 6:30 p.m. Monday, the A, C, E, F and M trains has resumed normal service.
The transit agency said that there had been no derailments or injuries as a result of the broken rail.
Details about subway conditions are available on the MTA's website.
