CROWN HEIGHTS — Police are looking for a man they say hit a cabbie on the head with a bottle in a dispute over change from his ride to the neighborhood earlier this month.
The assault happened around 4:00 a.m. on the corner of Atlantic and Rochester avenues in Crown Heights where the 47-year-old cab driver was dropping off the suspect.
The two got into an argument over the change from his payment, leading the passenger to hit the driver on the back of the head with a bottle, police said.
The passenger ran out of the car and fled on foot, police said. The driver was treated at the nearby Interfaith Hospital for a laceration to his head.
Police released a photo of the suspect taken inside the cab at the time of the incident. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, police said.
