BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A thief robbed a Bed-Stuy convenience store of $442 in cash after pretending to have a gun, police said.
The man entered the Duane Reade at 756 Myrtle Ave. near Nostrand Avenue around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 15 and simulated a weapon in his hand, officials said.
After demanding a 46-year-old employee empty the register, the suspect reached over the counter and took the cash, according to police.
Officials describe the man as 50 to 55 years old, 6 feet tall and wearing a baseball cap, a gray, waist-length coat and black jeans.
He was last seen getting into a dark gray Toyota Camry which was driven eastbound on Myrtle Avenue.
