SOUTH BEACH — A man bilked his sister out of $125,000 from their father's life insurance policy after he forged her signature on documents, prosecutors said.

Dominick Pedulla, 40, and his sister were owed $250,000 under their father's life insurance after he died in 2013, prosecutors said.

However, Pedulla signed his sister's name on the document and used it to pocket the $125,000 owed to her, prosecutors said.

Pedulla was arrested on Jan. 8 inside his Robin Road home and was charged with insurance fraud, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a forged instrument at his arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

He was released without bail and is due back in court on April 6, according to online court records.

Pedulla's lawyer could not be reached for comment.
