Strangers Cut Man on the Hand in Front of Roosevelt Avenue Bar, Police Say

JACKSON HEIGHTS — Police are looking for three men who cut a victim on the hand in front of a Roosevelt Avenue bar last month.  

The suspects approached the 21-year-old victim in front of La Escuelita Nueva Bar and Lounge at 78-07 Roosevelt Ave. at 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2015, police said.

One of the men cut the victim's hand with a knife and all three then fled east on Roosevelt Avenue. 

It's not clear if the suspects said anything to the victim before the attack.

Employees at the bar were not immediately available for comment.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for his hand injury and later released, according to police.

The man accused of cutting the victim is approximately 5-foot-2, 160 lbs. and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with blood stains on the front, jeans, a Yankee hat and black sneakers.

The two other men are wanted for questioning.

One is approximately 5-foot-5 with black hair and glasses. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black jeans, brown shoes and a backpack.

The other man is approximately 5-foot tall with black hair and glasses and was last seen wearing jeans, black sneakers, a black and gray backpack and a black "Ecko" brand sweatshirt.
