NEW DORP — More than 106 firefighters battled a blaze at a Staten Island pregnancy center early Thursday morning, the FDNY said.
The Crisis Pregnancy Center, at 38 10th Ave. near New Dorp Lane, caught fire at about 12:24 a.m., a spokeswoman for the FDNY said.
The fire — which hit the basement, the first and the second floors of the two-story building — was under control at 1:22 a.m., fire officials said.
The Crisis Pregnancy Center is a nonprofit, religious group affiliated with Care Net, a pro-life organization that runs centers across the country providing counseling services and pregnancy tests, according to its website.
There were no injuries reported in the blaze.
The FDNY ruled the fire was accidental and cause by a malfunction of the building's boiler.
