BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK — Brooklyn Bridge Park is looking for a creative food vendor to replace Lizzmonade at the Pier 1 kiosk.

The park released a Request for Proposals on Dec. 10 looking for vendors with solid backgrounds in the food industry to operate the stand, which sits at the western terminus of Old Fulton Street, next to the Fulton Ferry Landing.

It’s expected to open by April 15.

The kiosk operates during park hours, between 6 a.m. and 1 a.m. The space features 120-square-feet of kitchen and service area, with electric, water and sewer connections.

Alcohol won’t be permitted.

Prospective vendors should submit “creative and inventive” proposals for a concession that will “capture the diversity and originality of local fare,” according to the park’s website.

Proposals that include environmentally friendly practices and an awareness of the surrounding community will receive preference. Proposals will also be evaluated based on fee offer, operating experience, proposed capital investment and design, planned operations and financial capability.

The initial license term for vendors will be five years, with three one-year renewal options available.

Lizzmonade, which is currently closed for the 2015 season, made an average monthly revenue of $49,000 in 2014 and $67,500 in 2015, according to the RFP.

Proposals must be submitted by 3 p.m. on Jan. 5. For more information, click here
