MIDTOWN — Police have released an image of a red-haired woman who they say snatched wallets from unsuspecting victims across Manhattan this summer.

On July 18, a 17-year-old girl was inside Schnippers on Eighth Avenue near 41st Street when she noticed her wallet was missing. She later discovered someone used her debit card, police said.

On Aug. 5, a 66-year-old woman was inside Fanelli Cafe on Prince Street when she realized her wallet was gone. Later that night, she found out her credit card had been used, the NYPD said.

On Aug. 21, a 46-year-old woman was inside Dos Caminos on West Broadway and realized her wallet was no longer in her bag.

Finally, on Sept. 15, the suspect entered Zara, on West 34th Street, and snatched a 29-year-old woman’s bag before taking off. The bag was eventually recovered but a wallet that had been inside was gone, police said.

The suspect is described as between 5-foot-2 and 5-foot-4 and 120 pounds with red highlights to her hair, police said.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
