FORT GREENE — Celebrate the season with a holiday tree lighting Friday at the Ingersoll Community Center.

The 10-foot-tall blue spruce will be lit between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Ingersoll Garden of Eden, next to the Ingersoll Community Center at 177 Myrtle Avenue.

Children and adults can visit with Santa and decorate cookies over free hot chocolate and cider.

The event is sponsored by the University Settlement in partnership with the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership and the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development.
