If you’re still mourning the sudden and mysterious disappearance of the Crown Heights mural, boy, have we got a stocking stuffer for you.
For $12, you can now wear a pin-sized version of the distinctive Bergen Street mural on your heart forever, thanks to a collaboration between the local artist who created it, Broad City-illustrator Mike Perry, and Park Delicatessen, a nearby skate shop and florist.
The metal pin, measuring 1.25 inches, is a fair replica of the distinctive blue-and-yellow (and very Instagram-able) mural that hung on the fence of 876 Bergen St. near Classon Avenue before it went missing in June.
Around the same time, new owners of the lot filed work permits to built an eight-story residential building on the property.
Park Delicatessen made 100 pins and have sold about 25 of them, according to owner Mike Sclafani. You can get your own pin for $12 at the shop at 722 Classon Ave. or order it online for $15, he said.
At least one happy customer in the neighborhood got the pin already, declaring it her “new favorite pin” for “my favorite place” on Instagram:
