CLINTON HILL — They took everything but the kitchen sink.
Two stoves, two refrigerators and a dishwasher were stolen from an apartment building that’s being renovated on St. James Place, according to the NYPD.
The 42-year-old woman who lives in the apartment told police construction workers left the apartment at about 11 p.m. Thursday.
When they returned roughly 8:30 a.m. the next day, they found the front door slightly open and several appliances missing from the first-floor apartment, police said.
The stolen appliances include a Wolf stove, a Miele fridge, a Subzero dishwasher, a Rangemaster Broan stove and a Bloomberg fridge.
Police said they weren’t sure how many suspects were involved in the burglary. No arrests have been made.
Other notable crimes in the 84th and 88th precincts, according to police, include:
- A 28-year-old man leaving his house for work at approximately 7 a.m. on Dec. 1 noticed the side door of the Brooklyn Inn had been broken into. He called police, who determined about $6,400 had been stolen from a safe in the basement and two cash drawers. No arrests have been made.
- A man broke into a locker at the Planet Fitness on Duffield Street around 11:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, taking two laptops, an iPhone 5s and a credit card belonging to two 19 and 20-year-old victims as they were working out. The suspect fled toward Fulton Street on foot. No arrests have been made.
- A man took $7,501 worth of merchandise from a department store at 123 Smith St. before 12:30 p.m. Friday without paying. The stolen items include watches, briefcases, sunglasses and a key chain. An employee at the store told police the man, who is in his 50s, was very friendly with her before stealing the merchandise and told her his name was Joey.
- A 48-year-old man was hit over the head with a drill after he got into a fight with a coworker over what radio station to play while they were on the job at a warehouse at 15 Washington Ave. in the Brooklyn Navy Yard around 9:45 a.m. on Dec. 5. The victim suffered cuts to his forehead and the back of his head. Police did not arrest the coworker.
- A 49-year-old woman was attacked by two younger women who struck her with a walking cane between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 6 at the Tillary Street Women’s Shelter. She got injuries to the right eye and scratches on the right side of her face after the women punched, scratched and hit her with the cane. The two women, 23 and 35, were arrested on assault charges.
