BROOKLYN — A man was severely injured when he leaned off the platform and a G train hit him in the Nassau Avenue subway station Tuesday morning, officials said.

The man, whose identity was not immediately released, was knocked unconscious in the station near Manhattan Avenue about 4:53 a.m. when the train struck him, an FDNY spokesman said.

He suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Bellevue Hospital, the FDNY said. His condition was not immediately clear.

Northbound G trains were bypassing the station while police investigated, according to the MTA.
