GOVERNORS ISLAND — Construction is moving right along on a 38-foot hill covered in slides on Governors Island

Slide Hill is one of four waterfront peaks being built on Governors Island. The massive hills, created from recycled materials, range in height from 25 to 80 feet, offering sweeping views of New York Harbor and Manhattan.

Use the slider to see "Slide Hill" transform.

Engineers for Slide Hill recently tweeted images of the hill under construction. Once complete, the mound will feature four large slides, with one that's 48 feet long.

Here's an Instagram of the slides under construction:

Each of the hills reached their peak height earlier this fall, but there's still much work to be done before they are slated to open to the public in spring 2016.

The Hills, which roll through a 10-acre expanse, will be covered in grass and walking paths.

Workers broke ground on the delayed $70 million project in July 2013.
