LONG ISLAND CITY — Hop aboard a vintage subway car in Queens this weekend as the MTA rolls out its "nostalgia" train fleet for the holidays.

The old trains — which were used from the 1930s to the 1970s — will run every Sunday in December from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. along the M line, making local stops between Queens Plaza and 2nd Avenue on the Lower East Side.

The eight-car trains, which the city stopped using in 1977, feature rattan seats, ceiling fans and incandescent light bulbs, according to the MTA.

A schedule for the vintage trains can be found here.

The agency will also be running vintage buses along the M42 on 42nd Street on weekdays until Dec. 18, the MTA said.
