Man Shot in Staten Island Stairwell, Police Say

WEST BRIGHTON — A man was shot inside the stairwell of a Staten Island building earlier this month, police said.

On Nov. 13, the 23-year-old was walking down from the third floor of 810 Henderson Ave. at about 2:20 a.m. when a man shot him in the torso, police said.

The shooter fled the building with three other men towards Castleton Avenue, police said.

The victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police said the shooter was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with "Nike SB" in white across the chest, blue jeans and white sneakers.

On of the men who fled with the shooter was last seen wearing a black bubble jacket and red pajama pants; another was wearing a navy baseball hat with a gray brim, a black jacket and pants and the third was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with orange and white stripes and camouflage pants, police said.
