Pickpocket Tries to Use Stolen Credit Card for $28K Shopping Spree: NYPD

MIDTOWN SOUTH — A pickpocket tried to charge more than $28,000 at Macy's and Saks Fifth Avenue on a stolen credit card, police said.

The suspect swiped a 43-year-old man's wallet from inside his sports jacket, which was hanging on the back of a chair at Stout NYC at 60 E. 41st St., on Nov. 4 at about 7 p.m., police said.

The wallet had the victim's credit cards from Bank of America, American Express and Citibank as well as a driver license and a Long Island Railroad pass, police said.

The suspect attempted to make charges at the stores with the cards, police said.
