BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A large fire ripped through a Bedford-Stuyvesant building Saturday, causing a partial collapse, FDNY officials said.

The fire engulfed the two-story structure at 60 Nostrand Ave. near Park Avenue around 12:15 p.m., according to an FDNY spokesman.

More than 100 firefighters battled the blaze across the street from the Marcy Houses and brought it under control just before 2 p.m., officials said.

The rear of the building partially collapsed, the FDNY spokesman added.

The cause of the fire is under investigation but deemed not suspicious, according to officials.

One firefighter suffered minor injuries, the spokesman said.

The intense blaze sent out dark plumes of smoke that could be spotted throughout the borough.
