Upper West Side Tries to Out-Spook UES with Halloween Decorations

UPPER WEST SIDE — While the Upper East Side certainly has its share of creepy decorations, the spirit of Halloween is stronger than ever this year just across town.

The block with the most elaborate decorations is West 69th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue —  with one brownstone so covered with spiders, goblins and ghoulish figures it looked like a Hollywood set. The spiders spill into the street, and most of the neighboring buildings have gotten into the spirit with their own spooky versions.

Here are some of our favorite examples throughout the 'hood.
