UNION SQUARE — A trio of women stole $2,000 worth of allergy medication from a Duane Reade on East 14th Street, NYPD said.
Two 21-year-old women walked into the Duane Reade at 52 E. 14th St. shortly after 7 p.m. on Oct. 6 and grabbed packets of Nasacort allergy spray, Allegra allergy pills, Breathe Right nasal strips and a breathing pump and stuffed them into their bags, police said.
Then they tried to walk out without paying, while another 19-year-old woman acted as a lookout, according to a police spokeswoman.
Officers caught up with the women at the corner of East 14th Street and Third Avenue. All three were charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and possession of burglar's tools.
The 19-year-old pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct on a conditional discharge with three days of community service.
The 21-year-olds were held on bail. They're due back in court on Nov. 5.
Their attorneys were not immediately available for comment. Duane Reade declined to comment.
