BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A new 241-unit apartment building may soon rise at the site of a Nostrand Avenue nursing home.

Permits were recently filed for a seven-story structure at 270 Nostrand Ave., with 164,019 square feet of residential space and ground-level, indoor parking for 121 cars.

A nursing home currently sits at the location, as first reported by the Real Deal. Demolition plans for the existing four-story building between DeKalb Avenue and Kosciuszko Street were filed in September.

The 157-bed facility recently underwent a changeover in name and operators, switching from CABS Nursing Home Company to the Nostrand Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, according to state documents and employees.

CABS sold the property to NNRC Properties LLC for $15.6 million in June, records show.

The new building application calls for an outdoor deck and recreation rooms on four floors, according to the filing.

Details on the nursing home’s future and its residents are unclear.

Representatives for Nostrand Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Aaron Lebovits, the owner listed on plans for the site, did not return calls for comment Tuesday.
