ST. GEORGE — Staten Island Borough Hall was evacuated on Tuesday after a carbon monoxide leak was detected, officials said.
The building was evacuated after high readings of the gas were recorded shortly after 11 a.m. Workers were still on the scene about an hour later, the FDNY said.
Borough President James Oddo tweeted that work was being done on the building's boilers when the CO readings spiked.
No injuries were reported at the scene, the FDNY said.
