NYPD Searches for Suspect Wanted in Connection to Fordham Murder

BRONX — Police have released the name and photo of a suspect in connection to a deadly Fordham shooting last month.

Kadeem Carty, 22, shot 24-year-old David Hooks in the torso just before 3 p.m. on Sept. 20, just a few blocks from Hooks' Marion Avenue home, police said.

Hooks was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD.

Carty is described as a 6-foot-3-inch man and weighing approximately 180 lbs.
