BROOKLYN — A fire on the second floor of a Midwood apartment seriously injured a person late Friday night, fire officials said.
Firefighters were called to 1440 Ocean Parkway at 6:58 p.m., according to the FDNY.
It took firefighters about half an hour to extinguish the blaze, officials said.
One person was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in critical condition, FDNY said. Additional information about the victim was not immediately available.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
