LOWER EAST SIDE — Four East Village and Lower East Side restaurants are among the 27 new entries in a Michelin Guide devoted to cheap eats around the city.

The new local entries featured on the 2016 Bib Gourmand list include Oiji, a Korean restaurant that was named a New York Times “Critics Pick” six months after it opened on First Avenue and Russ and Daughters Café, an offshoot of the Houston Street shop that has been run by the same family for more than a century.

Donostia, which serves Basque food on Avenue B, and Thelma on Clinton, a small plates restaurant, also made the cut this year, according to Michelin.

The Bib Gourmand distinction is given to restaurants that serve “quality food at attractive prices,” according to Michelin. Eateries must serve two courses and a glass of wine or dessert for $40 or less to qualify.

Oiji, Donostia, Thelma on Clinton and Russ and Daughters Café join 17 other Bib Gourmand restaurants in the East Village, Lower East Side and Chinatown. Michelin awarded the distinction to 133 eateries throughout the city, according to its announcement Thursday.
