Man Enters Staten Island Home and Swipes Cellphone, Police Say

NEW BRIGHTON — A man broke into a Staten Island home last week and swiped a cellphone, police said.

On Sept. 11, the suspect entered the home of a 50-year-old man near Henderson and Pelton avenues through the back door at about 10:10 a.m., police said.

While inside, the suspect took the man's Samsung Galaxy cellphone, police said.

Police described the suspect as between 30 to 40 years old and last seen wearing camouflage shorts, glasses and a baseball hat carrying a blue backpack.
