LOWER EAST SIDE – A robber slashed a 28-year-old man’s face and neck with a box cutter, sending him to the hospital last weekend, police said.

Police said two men approached the victim after they entered a deli at 201 Madison St. at approximately 2:10 a.m. on Aug. 29. One of the men attacked the victim and they took his book bag filled with clothing before fleeing.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Police released images of the suspects, who were captured on security cameras, on Thursday. One man wore a white T-shirt while the other wore a dark blue and white shirt and a dark baseball cap.
