WEST VILLAGE — The recently relocated James Perse store on Bleecker Street is applying for a license to serve wine and beer, according to this month's Community Board 2 calendar.
The store is set to appear before Community Board 2's liquor license committee on Sept. 10 with an application for a beer and/or wine license for a cafe within their retail store at 368 Bleecker St., the community board's calendar says.
A manager at the store refused to discuss the application. The store relocated from 361 Bleecker St. earlier this year.
Also appearing at Sept. 10's CB 2 SLA committee meeting:
► Hakata Tonton is returning with an application for a full liquor license, after the board warned them last month that a Prohibition Era rule could stymie their expansion into the space formerly occupied by drag bar Boots & Saddle.
► Upper West Side restaurateur Vincent Chirico is on the calendar again as well, this time for a wine-and-beer license at 306 West 13th St., after a less-than-warm welcome from his neighbors at last month's meeting.
The meeting will be held at Judson Church at 239 Thompson St. and begin at 6:30 p.m.
