HARLEM — A 14-year-old boy was arrested Thursday after he put a woman in a headlock, wrestled her to the ground then punched and kicked her as he ripped a purse out of her hands, police said.
A video of the robbery shows the boy walking a few steps behind his victim in front of 208 W. 138th St. moments before he wraps his arm around her neck about 2:15 a.m. on Aug. 3 then tosses her to the ground. The woman struggles and holds on to her purse as long as she can while the teen drags and kicks her body.
The name of the boy was not released.
The woman did not sustain serious physical injuries, police said.
