MORRISANIA — Bronxites have drastically different ideas about where Morrisania begins and ends.

Since DNAinfo launched its interactive map letting readers draw the boundaries for their own neighborhoods, several have agreed that Morrisania's western border lies somewhere along Grand Concourse.

However, all of its other boundaries were much more up for debate — and even Grand Concourse was not universally agreed upon.

One reader had Morrisania occupying a rather narrow rectangle bound by Grand Concourse, East 161st Street, Teller Avenue and East 169th Street, while another decided it covered a much wider swath of land, extending from East 168th Street all the way down to East 139th Street and bound by Southern Boulevard to the east and Morris Avenue to the west.

The most ambitious version of the neighborhood had it covering virtually all of the South Bronx, extending all the way from the Harlem River in the west to Eastchester Bay in the east.

Although city officials have a broad idea of where New York's neighborhoods are, they do not have official boundaries for them.
