LOWER EAST SIDE — Two 17-year-olds were robbed at the LaGuardia Houses last week after thieves approached them and displayed kitchen knives, police said.

In the first incident, a 17-year-old boy went inside 280 Madison St. at 4:32 p.m. on Aug. 2 to trade sneakers with two people he met on Facebook, police said.

Instead, they took his pair of Air Jordan Cool Grey 9 sneakers worth $150, as well as his iPhone 5S, black Nike duffel bag, headphones, keys and wallet, which contained a $20 bill, monthly Metrocard and a library card, police said.

Police arrested a 17-year-old suspect in connection with the incident on Aug. 10, according to the NYPD. Further information about the suspect was not immediately available.

In a separate incident, two men approached another 17-year-old victim on Aug. 8 at 8:30 p.m. while he was on his way to meet a friend on the 16th floor, police said.

Police said the robbers stole the teen’s $200 Nike sneakers as well as his iPhone 5S, a Nike duffel bag and an Armani Exchange wallet, which contained his ID, debit card and $80 in cash.

No suspects have been arrested in that case, police said.
