MELROSE — Nothing comes between this man and his condoms.
A Bronx man snatched 19 boxes of rubbers from a Rite Aid on Tuesday morning and cut the arm of a security guard who tried to stop him from leaving, police said.
The robbery took place at 10 a.m. on Aug. 4, when the suspect walked into the Rite Aid at 3012 3rd Ave., put 19 boxes of condoms in a bag and tried to leave the store, according to the NYPD.
The store’s 35-year-old male security guard stopped him, but the suspect then slashed him on the arm with a box cutter and fled, police said.
The guard was taken to Lincoln Hospital where he was treated and released.
Video shows the suspect walking into the store in orange shorts and a red collared t-shirt holding a white plastic bag.
