BOERUM HILL — A 20-year-old man was shot three times on Bond Street outside Gowanus Houses early Monday morning, police said.

The victim was found conscious lying on the walkway at Bond and Baltic streets at about 3:10 a.m. on Aug. 3, authorities said.

Police noted that the victim was "highly uncooperative" in providing details about the shooters, according to the report. He refused to tell authorities his own name and information, and police had to contact his mother for details.

The victim was taken to New York Methodist Hospital in stable condition. It was not known where the gunshots had wounded the victim.

Early last month, officials ramped up police presence near Gowanus Houses after three shooting incidents in which people had been injured this year, including one that left three men wounded at a basketball court.

It was not immediately clear whether Monday's shootings were related to the previous incidents.

An increased number of police officers will continue to patrol the area.
