Police Searching for Man Who Robbed Upper West Side Bank, Police Say

UPPER WEST SIDE — A man robbed a Chase Bank branch over the weekend and fled with an unknown amount of cash, police said. 

The suspect entered the bank at 335 Columbus Ave., near West 76th Street, at about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, approached the bank teller and demanded money, police said.

The teller handed him an unknown amount of money before the suspect fled, police said. 

A surveillance photo shows the man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and black sunglasses. 

Last month, a man wearing an Angry Birds hat robbed a Chase Bank on West 86th Street near Columbus Avenue, making off with an unknown amount of cash, police said.
