UPPER EAST SIDE — An off-duty member of the Fire Department was arrested after punching a man in the face and threatening him with the leg of a chair on Saturday, the NYPD said.

John Deida, 31, got into an argument with a 51-year-old man inside the Carnegie Park Condominium at 200 East 94th St., and the dispute turned physical, police said.

He was arrested at 10:59 a.m. and charged with assault in the third degree and menacing, both misdemeanors, according to police.

Deida was given a desk appearance ticket, which is issued by police and requires him to appear in court at a later date.

The FDNY did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday.
