MANHATTAN — A prisoner escaped from police custody in the 25th Precinct in East Harlem on Friday evening, police said.
The person managed to escape around 6:30 p.m.
Police had no further information about how the escape happened, the gender of the prisoner or the reason for the arrest.
This is the second escape from a Harlem precinct in as many months.
Tareek Arnold, 23, who was charged with attempted murder, escaped on June 23 while detectives were transferring him from the 32nd Precinct in Central Harlem to Central Booking.
He hid out in the neighborhood before being captured on Tuesday.
