HELLS KITCHEN — Jeff Koons, famed artist of giant balloon dogs and a porcelain Michael Jackson, has purchased three adjacent properties overlooking De Witt Clinton Park since May.

Koons purchased three properties at 620, 622 and 624 W. 52nd St. for about $23.8 million total, according to online property records. The sales were first reported by The Real Deal.

The artist most recently bought an 11,000-square-foot, three-story office building at 624 on June 25 for $12,750,000. In May, he snagged the 2,510-square-foot vacant lot at 622 and a 2,510 square-foot garage at 620 W. 52nd St.

It's not immediately clear what's planned for the properties. As of Wednesday afternoon, there had been no plans filed with the DOB since the purchase dates, according to the agency's online records.

Koons’ representatives did not respond for comment.

The Whitney Museum held a retrospective of Koons’ work last year, filling nearly all of its floors with pieces that included a basketball suspended perfectly evenly in a tank of liquid, an inflatable lobster pool toy made of aluminum and steel, and an exaggeration of a mound of Play-Doh taller than any museum-goer. The exhibit is currently showing at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao in Spain.
