HELL'S KITCHEN — The long-delayed 7 train station at Hudson Yards will open Sept. 13, an MTA executive said yesterday.

“I am pleased to actually announce that we expect to open the station by September 13," Michael Horodniceanu, president of the MTA Capital Construction Company, told a committee meeting Monday. "And there’s nothing much more than I can report on that.”

Construction on the $2.4 billion 7 train extension, a project launched by the Bloomberg administration to provide subway service to the far West Side amid the development of Hudson Yards, was completed in March, according to MTA officials. Officials said at the time that they hoped to open by summer, but the station had to undergo final testing.

The extension was originally scheduled to open in December 2013, after former Mayor Michael Bloomberg gave the new route an inaugural run.

The 7 train extension no longer includes a station at West 41st Street and Tenth Avenue, which was part of the original $2.1 billion proposal.
