$3,800 in Jewelry Stolen from Asphalt Green Locker, Police Say

BATTERY PARK CITY — She got cleaned out as she worked out.

A woman had her $2,900 Longines watch, along with $900 in jewelry swiped from her gym locker at fitness center Asphalt Green, police said.   

The 41-year-old told police that her watch, along with her $300 bracelet and rings worth a total of $600 were stolen out of her locked locker at the 212 North End Ave. gym while she was working out on July 17 at about 6 p.m. When she returned about 30 minutes later, the lock was missing, along with her watch and jewelry.

Police were still investigating the theft.
